Genseed Underground Services Limited uses trenchless technology…

The definition of “Trenchless Technology” according to the United Kingdom Society for Trenchless Technology (UKSTT) is as follows:

“Trenchless Technology is the science of installing, repairing or renewing underground pipes, ducts and cables using techniques that minimise or eliminate the need for excavation.”

“The use of such techniques can reduce environmental impact, social costs and at the same time provide economic alternatives to traditional open cut methods of installation, renewal or repair.”

We provide the following pipe and cable laying techniques:

  1. Impact Moling – for the installation of small diameter gas, water and electric service pipes in compressible soils over short distances.
  2. Directional Drilling – for the installation of service connections, pipes and cables under roads and waterways etc.
  3. Pipe Ramming – for the installation of steel pipes or casings under roads, railway tracks etc. using pipe ramming machines driven pneumatically.
  4. Guided Auger Boring – for the steered installation of gradient pipes, especially for sewers.
